I am now a blogger? Who knew?

Apparently 2023 is going to challenge me in new and exciting ways. I am being called to share my voice. I'll be completely honest with you, I am not sure I am ready for it in this new capacity of work I am a part of. But the universe/Spirit is guiding me to share. So, buckle up buttercup - I am willing to share - but I make no promises it will be pretty, neat and tied up with a little marketing bow. I will do my best to be honest and truthful as I know things to be.

For those of you who don't know me all that well....my journey has been a freight train of sorts, or so my teachers tell me. When I dive, it's always deep. I'm not someone who half asses anything when I commit to learning. When I think back, I opened an inclusive fitness studio in 2012 that started with just kids classes and I took a 9 month online certification to become a Youth Fitness Trainer. Then I started finding programs I wanted to teach... the first one being Drums Alive. A cardio drumming program that I found by accident as a cool down during a bellydancing class at the gym ( I know... I guess I will try anything once....). But I believed in it so deeply I became a Master Trainer and travelled the country presenting, creating and teaching to so many people. Then in was Creative Relaxation: Therapeutic Yoga for Children with Autism. Again, I believed in it and used it so much that I stayed connected with the creator and became a trainer of sorts for her. Wanting to continue in the yoga world, I signed up for my 200 hr Registered Yoga Teacher training in the discipline of Kundalini Yoga. I connected with this also so deeply I became the teacher's assistant for the next training and helped open a children's leg of her studio. When I believe, I take it in: Mind Body and Soul. My Reiki Training was one I couldn't get enough of and continue to work on it daily. My first 3 levels of Usui Reiki were done locally and 30 days apart from one another. During this 90 days I also became an Ordained Minister. I continued my journey with my Kundalini Yoga teacher to complete 4 more Reiki Trainings including Holy Fire and Karuna© Master. It was an energy I connected with completely.

There have been so many others.. Laughter Yoga was a great one... loved and enjoyed that experience and still share my teacher's work to this day after many years have gone by. I decided to run a consulting business for a short time because people were requesting to open locations/franchise my studio and I wasn't prepared. I paid close to $10K for a spiritual business coach to take me through the process of creating an online Master Mind program - complete with a business retreat in Costa Rice that changed me forever. Before I left I registered for a 4 month Life Coach Program which has served me amazingly well today.

The most recent deep dive was Massage Therapy School. 9 months, 3 full days a week, 1 hour commute each way, 55 hours in their clinic, 45 hours in the community in internship opportunities. The academics and hands on work was something I dedicated so much time to - more than the "clock hours" we spent at school. Studying, practicing, homework, research... and it helped open my "gifts" that I knew were buried down inside somewhere but had no idea how to access them. Well, start massaging folks for 3 hours a day, 3 days a week and have that much contact with people's energy, it will bring out your gifts for sure! Annndddd of course got me a job as an instructor at my school, Bancroft School of Massage Therapy. I told you, when I believe - the opportunities are there. The energy flows.

This year, I believe in myself, the work I am doing and my clients. I am finding myself back in the mentor role as opposed to the student. Full time anyway - I am always learning ( I just registered to receive the 9 rites of the Munay Ki). I recently opened a business called Divine Seva. I am sure you are familiar with the name if you are here because you have visited my website. Divine Seva - Divine Service - because I truly believe we are all connected to a Divine Spirit that has so many beautiful abundance opportunities for us all - If we know what to look for and to operate from a place of being in service to ourselves and to Spirit. I offer energy sessions using Reiki, Therapeutic Massage, Sound Healing and combinations of them all. I also have Reiki Trainings as all levels for those who want to deepen their practice/work and many more workshops on the books. It has been a blessing to combine these services with my love for creativity which I fully indulge in with our Gift Shop. Tons of great items to support energy work and rituals that keep us fully living with intention.

So in my first blog post here, I want to thank you for reading and getting to know me a little and how I got here. I will be posting on all kinds of different things as they surface.. I did a live on Facebook about Mercury Retrograde which was very well received. I hope to continue to post on these topics and do some more lives to keep us all connected.
