I know darn well you get out what you put back.... so I may get a smack in the ass from this picture but for crying out loud, this last 3 weeks has been just... NUTS. I am a planner and even though I tried to plan for having wonky energy during this retrograde, even those best laid plans got mucked up. I can only imagine if you had no idea what what coming and you went about as you normally do.... probably feeling that, huh?
Energy is interesting for sure. It's EVERYWHERE. And the things that affect it are sometimes the things we don't realize- and that's where we can make big differences with little changes.
Balance is the secret to the universe as far as I am concerned. Energy cannot stay in an extreme state for long before it swings the other way. Now, that doesn't mean when you're happy you need to live in fear that the other shoe will drop at any moment. It means, live in a state of contentment and joy and not manic happiness and you won't see severe depression, you will find hiccups you are prepared to overcome. Make sense?
Today is the first "official" day out of retrograde. But some say there is a shadow period of a few days, sometimes up to 5. We have a new moon upon us on Saturday. It's a beautiful time to slow down, reflect on the past few weeks.. what really went haywire? What could you have done to be proactive about it next time? The new moon is dark, still and quiet. She's quite beautiful actually. She invites us to reassess life, dream a little, set new goals, and prepare for another wave of energy that will help us clean out the clutter and continue to work towards our purpose.
Sometimes I feel like a broken record. Most females do. lol. But our bodies are already subject to 13 cycles a year when our bodies shed what no longer serves them. If you are like me, I will plan activities around it because let's face it - it sucks. I don't feel well and I don't want to over load myself at work and plan really fun stuff with my friends and family if I am going to feel lousy and need rest. In many cultures women refer to these times as our Moon Cycle. And if men are reading this, I am absolutely sure if you are in a committed relationship with someone who experiences their moon cycle, you are planning your time around it too. My husband knows I need rest for a few days and not to plan very active things. The reason I bring up something as sensitive as a women's moon cycle is we already "plan ahead to how our body will be reacting".... so taking it a step further and looking when the full moon and new moons are falling...even mercury retrograde although that is usually only 3 times a year but can screw up vacations plans with gusto - trust me!
Start to be aware of the energy AROUND you and how it effects you. What outside forces are happening, out of your control I might add, that you are going to need to live in flow with and not fight against for the time it's happening? Get these times to work FOR you, not AGAINST you! It takes some planning. It takes time for you to stop and say, " Ok, what does the next few weeks look like for me?" and plan accordingly. And realistically. Protect that time that you KNOW will be draining... I am sure you CAN fill it with activities/appointments but they will be awful if you do. Imagine if you said no and booked the appointments another time? ( and I am absolutely not referring to any pressing medical issues or appointments that are emergencies... I'm talking day to day life stuff. ) If you are someone who flies by the seat of your pants daily, this is going to be eye opening. Living in flow is something that brings much ease to life.....when we stop fighting against things we can't control we make great allies of them and even get the struggles to be our greatest sidekicks in our lives adventures.
